Retail Operations Coordinator - Coker University Store

POSITION SUMMARY
The Retail Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the
Coker University Store. This role ensures smooth and efficient retail functions, provides
outstanding customer service, and manages merchandising, inventory, and student staff. The
position also contributes to campus engagement through promotional efforts and maintains
financial and administrative accuracy. This part-time role reports to the Strategic
Communications Manager.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
● Manages daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
● Provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
● Handles transactions, returns, and exchanges while maintaining accurate sales records.
● Recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises student employees.
● Develops student workers' skills in customer service, sales, and merchandising.
● Maintains proper inventory levels and coordinates product replenishment.
● Assists in selecting and ordering merchandise aligned with Coker's brand and student
interests.
● Organizes and displays merchandise to optimize sales and enhance the customer
experience.
● Collaborates with campus departments and student organizations to promote store
events and merchandise.
● Plans and executes promotional campaigns, sales, and special events.
● Maintains the store's social media presence and contributes to digital marketing efforts.
● Tracks sales data and assists with financial reporting and budgeting.

● Coordinates with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and stock
management.
● Ensures compliance with university policies and retail best practices.
● Performs other duties as assigned.
