Summer Flip Crew
POSITION SUMMARY
We're seeking motivated, energetic individuals to become part of our Summer Flip Crew-a dedicated team that helps prepare our residence halls and campus community spaces for the upcoming academic year. This is a great opportunity to earn summer income, gain hands-on experience, and enjoy complimentary on-campus housing. This position reports to the Director of Residence Life.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
● Reset and rearrange furniture in student rooms and communal areas.
● Disassemble, move, and reassemble furniture such as beds, desks, chairs, and wardrobes to ensure
proper room setup for incoming students; follow specific layout guidelines and maintain safety protocols during lifting and moving tasks.
● Deep clean rooms, hallways, and shared spaces to ensure a welcoming environment
● Perform thorough cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch
surfaces in living spaces, lounges, bathrooms, and corridors to create a clean and healthy
environment for students and staff.
● Apply fresh coats of paint to walls and surfaces as needed and work in coordination with leadership to prioritize areas for repainting.
● Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working independently or in a team setting.
● Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and respect in all interactions; follow instructions from supervisors
and collaborate effectively with peers to meet daily goals and project deadlines.
● Organize and inventory paint supplies and equipment as needed; help ensure that storage areas are
kept tidy and well-stocked.
EDUCATION
● High School Diploma or equivalent

● Adjusts well to shifting schedules, tasks, and team configurations; maintains productivity in varied
weather, facility conditions, and daily assignments.
● Represents the university professionally when interacting with summer guests or event participants;
responds courteously and efficiently to requests.
● Demonstrates safe and correct use of basic tools, cleaning equipment, and painting supplies; learns
and follows maintenance and safety procedures.
● Takes proactive steps to identify areas that need attention; goes beyond assigned duties to support
team success; seeks clarification when needed.
● Shows consistent attendance and punctuality; completes tasks with minimal supervision; trusted to
uphold expectations and responsibilities.
